teaching artist
My love for art likely began before I could write; it grounded my goals to earn a Bachelor of Science in Art History (Tufts University, 1990) and a Masters of Art in Art Education (University of Florida, 2014). As a teaching artist, I emphasize the use of strong technique and skills while simultaneously experimenting with new ideas. Since 2004, I've been teaching in studio-based environments so that learners may appreciate art beyond traditional standards, school walls, and classroom rules. Whether you're just starting out or looking for something new, follow my work via HYFA Facebook and  HYFA Blog. Stay true to yourself: be original ...because art matters.
