First and foremost, I am an artist. I create personal and commissioned art using multiple mediums. As a teaching artist/art educator I share ideas and different ways of making art with learners of all ages. In addition to photos documented on my website, I share a selection of my art-and-work as blog posts with photos of processes, supplies, and my perspective as to why art matters. My work as artist and educator intersect in the world of advocacy: I dedicate work and time to support not-for-profit initiatives in art, education, health and community.

On Monday, April 27, 2026 we celebrated Lunar New Year of the Horse at Sampson Middle School with hands-on Chinese ink brush painting... culture, history, traditions, art, explorations... we had FUN!
FUN fact no. 1 - we are artists! everyone in Ms. Lemon's art classroom
FUN fact no. 2 - down to basics... ink + brush + paper ...give-it-a GO FUN fact no. 3 - clean-up was messy [ART tip: use a slush bucket] FUN fact no. 4 - in recognition of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month ...yep, I kicked it up a notch! Happy May, everyone and Happy 2026, Lunar Year of the Horse!
