​From start to end, it's hard to say exactly how long it took for this piece to unfold. Photo-documented here is a selection of dried flowers [gifted from our friends and my family] that I collected from May 2020 through June 2024. At times overlapping and/or paused to work on other pieces, I completed you & me... on March 31, 2026. This may very well be my favorite piece to date...

​Here's one of many backstories...
more than I could show, my gratitude for this art-filled life​.

On June 18, 2024, Allison stopped by the gallery with fresh-cut beautiful flowers... I was deeply moved by her gift. Her presence lit up our studio and for days turning into weeks, I photographed my process of taking care of the immense delight of colors, scents, and textures. I was mesmerized and enamored with the delicate blooms of Queen Anne's Lace and felt sure that I would find a way to incorporate them in my painting. As you scroll the process photos, you'll see that I added the flowers [dried and pressed] to the foundation of you & me... painted in black ink and my gratitude goes out to Allison for her gift of friendship.
